Sales tax exemption on rare coins in Ohio would be restored as per an official government bill which is under reconsideration.

A man had stolen $50 million from a rare coin fund which was raised for the Ohio Bureau of Workers' Compensation. Post that event, the exemption was eliminated. The convict is now serving an 18-year prison term.

The collectible coin industry has raised its voice for the exemption to be restored.

The full House was already cleared by a similar measure.
