This Half-Dollar was designed by Isaac Scott Hathaway the obverse of this coin depicts the side portrait of George Washington Carver and Booker T. Washington. The inscription on the coin is written as the UNITED STATES OF AMERICA * E PLURIBUS UNUM * IN GOD WE TRUST/GEORGE W CARVER LIBERTY BOOKER T. WASHINGTON HALF DOLLAR 1952.

The reverse of this coin shows a simple outline map of the United States of America in the center and initials *FREEDOM AND OPPORTUNITY FOR ALL* *AMERICANISM* around.
