The United States of America had issued this commemorative dollar with the theme of United Service Organisation in the year 1991. This dollar was issued by the United States to commemorate the 50th anniversary of United Service Organisation (USO).

The United Service Organisation is a nonprofits-charitable corporation which operates support service for the people enlisted in the United States Armed Force. This organization work with the partnership with the Department of War and later with the Department of Defence (DoD) since from 1941.

Fifty percent of charges collected from the sales of this coin will be distributed to USO. The USO will use this money to fund programs including airport centers, fleet centers, family and community centers, and celebrity entertainment. The remaining fifty percent will be returned to the federal treasury to reduce the national debt.
