The United States Capitol Visitor is the largest underground addition to United States Capitol complex; it is a monument, a working office building, and one of the most recognizable symbols of representative democracy in the world. This building had a capacity to serve as a gathering point for up to 4,000 tourists and an expansion space for the US Congress.

This gold five dollar was issued by the United States of America in the year 2001. The obverse of this coin features the portion of Corinthian column, surrounded by the inscriptions ‘LIBERTY’, ‘1800’, ‘FIRST CONVENING OF CONGRESS IN WASHINGTON’, ‘IN GOD WE TRUST’ and ‘2001’. The reverse, depicts Capitol building as it appeared in 1800. as it stood in the year 1800, with West Point's "W" Mint mark below; with the inscriptions ‘UNITED STATES OF AMERICA’, ‘E PLURIBUS UNUM’ and ‘FIVE DOLLARS’.
