Malta Post has participated in EuroMed Postal Union philatelic issue, themed ‘traditional Costume’ with a set of three stamps. The Euromed Post joint project is commitment which is intended to be held annually. The issue featured two women costume and one men’s garment.

This stamp set is designed by Malta Post Creative studio and the photography is by Heritage Malta. The Traditional Malta dress ranges were from humble attire to of Country Folk till the lavish costume of the more privileged classes.

The natural colour of cotton was white, beige and brown which reflect in the choice of colours found in typical tradition Maltese costumes. The head dress and shawl or hooded clocks are unique to the Mediterranean island of Malta and Gozo.
