Italy Post issued a stamp to celebrate the 400th anniversary of the Basilica Della Ghiara. This church was built around 1597 to 1619, in response to a miracle that supposedly happened in 1596. The church design is attributed to the Architect, Alessandro Balbi from Ferrara.
It was built by Pacchioni Francesco from Reggio. This stamp depicts a drawing of the dome of the church along with the work of art from inside this beautiful building. The peculiarity of this Basilica is the extraordinary series of frescos and altarpieces executed by the best artist of the 17th century.
