Stamps from Liechtenstein and Liberia Celebrate Apollo 11 Mission

On 3rd June, Liechtenstein issued two new postage stamps to celebrate the 50th anniversary of the first manned moon landing. The 1.80-franc stamp depicts Armstrong’s footprint on the moon and his photo that was taken by Aldrin. The 2fr stamp features the same footprint again, but this time, along with the lunar lander. The collage designs were created using black-and -while as well as colour images by Rene Wolfinger.Liberia issued a stamp to commemorate the 50th anniversary of Apollo 11 mission on 25th October 2018. The stamp depicts the famous ticker-tape parade that was organised in New York City on 13th August 1969 to welcome home the brave astronauts who managed to accomplish this unbelievable feat for the first in history.
