Hyderabad State is also known as Hyderabad Deccan; it is an Indian state situated in the south-central region of India. State Hyderabad was a Princely State during the British rule in India. Today; Hyderabad was divided into Telangana state, Hyderabad-Karnataka region of Karnataka and Marathwada region of Maharashtra.This state was ruled by Nizam who was initially a viceroy of the Great Mughals in Deccan from 1724 CE to 1857 CE. Hyderabad gradually became the first princely state to come under British dominance after signing a subsidiary alliance agreement. During the rule of Asaf Jah V, this state changed its traditional flag, later this dynasty also declared itself as an independent monarchy during the final years of the British rule.
