The Mexico chapter of The Banknote Book has been officially published on 14th June. It is a 58-page catalogue which includes detailed listings and descriptions about notes that were issued by the Imperio Mexicano or Mexican Empire in 1823, the ones issued by Tesorerias de la Nacion or Treasury of the Nation in 1823, the ones issued by Banco de México or Bank of Mexico in 1866, Banco de la República Méxicana or Bank of the Mexican Republic in 1918, Comision Monetaria or Monetary Commission in 1920, and Banco de Mexico or Bank of Mexico from 1925 to present.
The catalogue has full-colour images of both obverse and reverse side. Other valuable aspects such as the face value or date of demonetization, accurate market values, identifications of vignette elements, security features, Printer imprint, date/signature varieties, date of issuance, replacement note information, background information, magnified elements that distinguish note varieties, Bibliographic sources and signature tables are also mentioned in the book.
