Australia Post released a new set of four postage stamps dedicated to Sports Stadiums like Melbourne’s AAMI Park, Perth’s Optus Stadium, the Sydney Cricket Ground and the Melbourne Cricket Ground. Venues featured on stamp designs were selected based on the popularity of these stadiums, sporting heritage and architecture.
Self-adhesive booklets of 10 and a booklet collection have also been released. The stamp featuring Optus Stadium also shows Perth's amazing skyline in the background. The stamps highlight the importance of sporting venues in modern Australian culture. The booklet collection shows how these venues can give an identity to the city and how they can enhance the city economically, socially and visually.
