BEP’s $2 Rocketship Celebrates 50th Anniversary of Moon Landing

The Bureau of Engraving and Printing (BEP) released a special product called 2019 $2 Rocketship to celebrate the 50th anniversary of the first manned moon landing. It contains an uncirculated, Series 2013 $2 Federal Reserve note, with a serial number starting “2019”. The packaging features interesting facts for kids along with an embossed rocket ship and moon. The note comes inside a clear, acid-free, polymer sleeve.

The sale of this product will begin on 18th June at 12:00 p.m. (ET). 24,000 such special notes can be purchased for $9.95 USD each. Those who want to order 50 or more such notes will receive a discount of $8.50.

The BEP and the U.S. Mint are now selling their products online together. BEP customers can create a Mint website account for a better buying experience. The product can also be ordered via phone or from several official Visitor Centre gift shops of BEP.
