Alaska is one of the states of the United States of America; it is the northernmost and the westernmost state of United States of America. But, mostly it is easterly longitude towards eastern side because of the Aleutian Island extended towards Eastern Hemisphere. It is the only non-contiguous state of United State which lies on the continent of North-America. It is the largest state in the United States of America. This state is larger than all but 18 sovereign countries. This state is also larger than the combined area of the next largest states like Texas, California, and Montana.

The United States of America had issued a commemorative quarter dollar with the theme of state Alaska in the year 2008. The reverse of this depicts grizzly bear from the waters clutching a salmon in its jaw.
