Acadia National Park is one of the most beloved national parks of the United States of America. This National park has an as stunning national treasure on the coast of Maine in the USA. This National Park protects a patch of coastal Maine where the north woods tumble down to meet the wild Atlantic.

Acadia National Park is situated on the coast of Maine; Most of the park is located on Mount Desert Island, with small portions on smaller islands and the mainland. Acadia National Park is the first National Park that lays to the east of Mississippi river and it the only national park in the North-eastern United States. Acadia National Park was first named as Sieur De Monts National Monument in the year 1916 by the proclamation of President Woodrow Wilson. The in the year 1919 it was again renamed as Lafayette National Park. Finally; in the year 1929, this park was again renamed as Acadia National Park.

The United States of America had issued a commemorative coin with the theme of Acadia National Park in the year 2012.
