Acadia National Park was first named as Sieur De Monts National Monument in the year 1916 by the proclamation of President Woodrow Wilson. The in the year 1919 it was again renamed as Lafayette National Park. Finally; in the year 1929, this park was again renamed as Acadia National Park.
