North Dakota is one of the states of the United States of America situated in Midwestern and northern region of the United States of America. Particularly in the sector of oil extraction from the Bakken formation which lies beneath the north-western part of the state. North Dakota contains tallest human-made structure in the western hemisphere, the KVLY-TV mast.The United States of America had issued a commemorative quarter dollar with the theme of state North Dakota in the year 2006. This quarter dollar is the fourth coin released in the year 2006 and overall it is 39th coin release in 50 State Quarters Program. The reverse of this coin depicts a pair of grazing American bison in the foreground, a sunset view of the rugged buttes and canyons that symbolize the State’s Badlands region.
