Baseball shape stamp issued by Canada Post

A baseball shape stamp was issued by the Canada Post for the amateur Japanese-Canadian baseball team that helped remove racial barrier through sports. This stamp illustrates the baseball and features the 1940 Asahi team photo featuring a teenage Kaminiushi and 10 teammates.This team of Vancouver Asahi is quite well-known but the stamp also tells a Uniquely Canadian story about a dark time of overt Racism and fear. The team was named Asahi in Japanese it means ‘Morning Sun’ formed in 1914 in Vancouver British Columbia, the team played it last game in 1941.
This stamp depicts all the team member of Asahi's in their teens, all the eleven members of the team can be seen in it taken from the old photographs.
