Texas is one of the states of the United States of America; it is located in the south-central region of the United States of America. State Texas shares the border with Louisiana to the east, Arkansas to the northeast, Oklahoma to the north, New Mexico to the west and Gulf of Mexico is to the southeast. This state is the second largest state in the United States of America by both its area and population.State Texas was an intersection of several major cultural groups like Puebloans people, Mississippian people, and the Mesoamerican People cantered on Teotihuacan. During colonial times there were around six major cultural groups in Texas which are named as Comanche, Atakapa, Coahuiltecan, Puebloan, Apachean, and Caddoan peoples.
The United States of America had issued a commemorative quarter dollar with the theme of state Texas in the year 2004. This quarter dollar is third quarter dollar release in the year 2004 and overall it is 28th quarter dollar release in the 50 State Quarters Program. The reverse of this coin depicts an outline map of state Texas and star imposed on the outline map of state Texas.
