Isle of Man Post issued a set of eight stamps to mark the 50th anniversary of the first manned flight to land on the Moon, the mission was called Apollo 11 mission. These stamps commemorate the entire mission that led up to one small step on the Moon. To create these stamps Isle of Man Post co-operated with George Abbey, former Director of NASA's Johnson Space Centre, astronaut and NASA administrator. This collaboration helped in designing stamps with embedded codes, quotes, tributes and secrets.
