North Carolina is a state situated in the south-eastern region on the United States of America. The capital of this state in Raleigh, it stands 28th-most extensive and the 9th-most populous of the U.S. states.
The United States of America had issued a commemorative coin with the theme of North Carolina State on 12th March 2001. This coin is a second coin released in the year 2001 and it is 12th coin issued in 50 Stars Quarter Program.
The reverse of this coin highlights the first flight that took place in Kill Devil Hills, N.C. President William J. Clinton was in office when this legislation was signed.
