The Smoky Mountain National Park features mountain range rising along the Tennessee–North Carolina border in the southeastern United States. This national park has wonderful biodiversity, with ridge upon ridge of forest straddling the border between Tennessee and North Carolina. This National Park is also world renowned for its diverse plant and animal life, the beauty of its ancient mountains, and the quality of its remnants of southern Appalachian mountain culture.
The reverse of this coin is inscribed with a historic log cabin found within Great Smoky Mountains National Park.
