The United States of America had issued this commemorative quarter dollar with the theme of Yosemite National Park in the year 2010. Yosemite National Park is an American National Park; it is located in the western Sierra Nevada of Central California. It is bounded by Sierra National Forest and by Stanislaus National Forest.

This quarter dollar is the third quarter dollar issued in the year 2010 and it is also a third-quarter dollar issued overall in America the Beautiful Quarters Program. The reverse of this coin depicts one of the images of Yosemite National Park. It has shown the image of one of the first wilderness park in the United States best known for its waterfall.
