Mount Hood National Forest Quarter Dollar

The United States of America had issued this commemorative quarter dollar with the theme of Mount Hood National Forest. Mount Hood National Forest was the first established as Bull Run Forest Reserve in 1892, later in the year 1908 it was expanded and got merged with the part of Cascade National Forest and was named as Oregon National Forest. In the year 1924, the name of the forest again got changed was it named as Mount Hood National Forest.

The Mount Hood National Forest quarter dollar was issued in the year 2010. The obverse of this coin has a portrait of George Washington (the first president of United States of America from 1789 to 1797) facing towards left; with the inscription ‘UNITED STATES OF AMERICA’ at the top’ inscription ‘LIBERTY’ and ‘IN GOD WE TRUST’ written to the left and right side of the coin and ‘QUARTER DOLLAR’ written at the bottom. The reverse of the coin depicts the image of Mount Hood with Lost Lake in the foreground.
