Cute Puppy Poodle on 5-Cent Silver Coin

Perth Mint released the last coin from its special five-coin series featuring puppies. The 2018 Proof .9999 fine silver 50-cent coin is issued as legal tender for Tuvalu and depicts a cute coloured poodle. The reverse depicts a brown poodle puppy all set to play with a field of flowers in the background. Other inscriptions include the text POODLE and Perth Mint’s P Mint mark. The obverse features an effigy of Queen Elizabeth II along with other texts like 2018, weight and fineness, and denomination.The coin comes in a grey display case inside an illustrated shipper with a certificate of authenticity. Other coins in the series feature beagle, border collie, golden retriever and English bulldog. Struck in half-ounce of silver, the coin has a diameter of 32.6 millimetres and a mintage limit of 5,000 pieces. Each coin can be purchased for $42.95.
Friendly and energetic poodles have curly, woolly and anti-allergic fur. They were originally bred for hunting waterfowl. Its intelligent and affectionate nature makes it an ideal therapy dog. It is extremely popular across age groups and children love playing with them.
