Green Tree Python Featured on Coloured Gold Coin from Perth Mint

Perth Mint released a new coin featuring a green tree python in full colour. The $100 1-ounce .9999 fine Proof gold coin is released for Niue and is a part of a series called Australia’s Remarkable Reptiles.The reverse features a coloured Green Tree Python coin in its natural surroundings along with the inscription GREEN TREE PYTHON. Reptilian scales, teeth, claws and skin are featured on the border like other coins of the same series. The obverse features a portrait of Queen Elizabeth II along with inscriptions ELIZABETH II, date of issue, denomination and 1 OZ 9999 GOLD.
The coin has a mintage limit of 150 pieces and can be purchased for $1,899.95. Other reptiles like salt-water crocodile, frilled neck lizard, the goanna, the blue tongue lizard and the thorny devil lizard have already been featured on coins from this series.
