Titanium Coins Celebrate Queen’s Sapphire Jubilee

Pobjoy Mint released special Sapphire Titanium coins featuring the Royal Crest to celebrate the Sapphire Jubilee of Queen Elizabeth II. The Royal Crest design has evolved over 900 years. Three lions were chosen by Richard the Lionheart to represent England. It is used on the gates of Buckingham Palaces featuring the UK Royal Arms with English Lion, Scottish Unicorn and St. George.The obverse features a portrait of Queen Elizabeth II. Titanium reacts differently with every strike, making each coin unique in terms of colour. The coins also feature a lined effect due to its composition. 1,952 1oz proof sterling silver coins are also being struck to represent the year in which the longest reigning monarch in the world was declared the Queen.
The 10 g titanium coin has a mintage limit of 7,500, the 28.28 g .925 Sterling Silver coin has a mintage limit of 1,952 and the 28.28 g CuNi coin has a mintage limit of 10,000. Titanium and the Proof Sterling silver coins come in special packaging along with a Certificate of Authenticity.
