Rare 2008 Nigeria Set Highlights Anti-Corruption Campaign

Nigeria released a set of three stamps highlighting the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission’s anti-corruption campaign on 10th April 2008. Nigeria lost more than $400 billion due to government corruption as per 2012 reports and is considered to be one of the most corrupt countries of the world.Every level of Nigerian government is infected by bribery, embezzlement, and graft. The set of three stamps has a market value of at $3 in mint never-hinged condition as well as used condition. Most of the stamps have the printer’s inscription below the stamp design. A stamp without this inscription was recently sold at an online auction for almost $105 as they are considered to be rare. Some experts state that this version was produced for first-day covers.
