Rare 1894-O Barber Dime to be Offered at The ANA Auction

An amazing 1894-O Barber dime from the Fossil Creek Collection, graded MS-66 with a CAC sticker is being offered by Stacks Bower’s in Rarities Night of the Official Auction of the 2017 ANA World’s Fair of Money. The coin features iridescent turquoise and honey gold toning. It is well frosted and silky throughout with great detailing and high preservation levels.The coin belongs to the most important key dates in the Barber dime series. In terms of rarity, it is second after the 1895-O in Mint State. The coin had a small mintage limit of 7,20,000 due to which they were heavily circulated. They are found in Extremely Fine and lesser levels of preservation. It is one out of the finest six coins of this type. Other rarities offered at the auction are the Lord St. Oswald-Norweb 1794 Flowing Hair dollar and the 1853-O No Arrows Liberty Seated half dollar from the Garrett Collection.
