The coin shown alongside belongs to Karnataka region, a feudatory of the Chalukyas or the Rashtrakutas. It is an uninscribed Gold Gadyana weighing around 4.7 grams. The obverse of the coin depicts a boar facing right and a long stemmed lotus flower below, all within a triple circular border formed of dots and a line, with decorations resembling Arabic script in the margins. On the reverse, there is a rectangular representation of a Shiva lingam within a border of dots.The coin is listed in the upcoming Todywalla Auctions which will be taking place at Bangalore Exhibition on 29th July. Bidding has already started on this Gold Gadyana at INR 3,25,000. Hurry up!!
