San Marino to Change National Sides of Their Coins After 15 Years

After 15 long years, San Marino will be finally changing the national sides of their coins. The new designs would feature important works of arts and architecture.The € 2.00 coin will be featuring Saint Marino based on a portrait by Urbinelli. The € 1.00 coin will celebrate the Second Tower. The € 0.50 coin will feature the Saint Marinus as per a painting by E. Retrosi, the € 0.20 coin celebrates the Three Towers, the € 0.10 coin depicts the Facade of the Church and Convent of Saint Francis, the € 0.05 coin honours the Church of the Capuchins, the € 0.02 coin is named The Gate of the Country, the € 0.01 coin will feature the official emblem of the Republic. Issue date for all these coins would be 26th June. The mintage limit is set as 23,000 specimens.
