Helvetic Mint released a new 2017 1-ounce .9999 fine silver $2 coin in its Animal Skin series for Niue Islands featuring a cat. The colourful reverse of the oval shaped coin features a cat giving an intense look. Cats have been the favourite pets for many around and they have the knack to make you smile when you are stressed out. Experts believe that they can even sense our mood and cheer you up accordingly with their fun antics.The coin is rendered in an Antique Finish and its high relief design amazingly recreates the cat’s fur, its orange nose and holographic green eyes. The series belongs to an annual program that started in the year 2012.
The obverse features the Raphael Maklouf effigy of Queen Elizabeth II.
