Coins of Khizr Khan Issued the Name of Firuz Shah Tughluq

Khizr Khan was the founder of Sayyid Dynasty. It was a ruling dynasty of the Delhi Sultanate after the fall of Tughluq Dynasty. Full name of Khizr Khan was Sayyid Khizr Khan ibn Malik Sulaiman, he ruled the Delhi Sultanate from 1414 AD- 1421AD (AH 817-AH 824).Khizr Khan was the governor of Multan, under Firuz shah Tughluq of Tughluq Dynasty. He was a good administrator.
He did not issue any coin in his own name, but there are some posthumous coins which he issued in the name of Muhammad bin Firuz. This Very rare gold tanka which he issued in the name of Muhammad Bin Firuz Shah Tughluq was sold for INR 65,000 at Todywalla Auction. The obverse of the coin is inscribed as ‘Al Sultan Al Azam Abul Muhamid Muhammad Shah Bin Firuz Shah Sultan’. And the reverse of the coin is inscribed as ‘Fi Zaman Al-Imam Al-Muminin Khulidat Khilafatahu, with AH date 823 written at the bottom.
