BEP Produced Maximum Number of $1 Notes in 2016

2,425,600,000 $1 Federal Reserve notes were printed by BEP in 2016 at its plants in Columbia and Fort Worth. The combined total came up to 7,584,000,000 notes, which is 550,600,000 notes more than what were printed last year. 1,516,800,000 pieces of $100 denomination were printed, making up for 80 percent of total production.For three years in a row, BEP has issued the maximum number of $1 bills. 1,939,200,000 pieces of 20$ bills were printed. The BEP has said that the printed notes would meet the current and future demand.
