Triangular Coin Says Happy International Nurses Day

The Royal Australian Mint released special triangular commemorative collectible fine silver coin to celebrate International Nurses Day. The coin is made using stained glass artwork created at the Australian War Memorial.The coin recognises the brave efforts taken by service nurses in Australian military history. It also appreciates all the dedicated and courageous nurses of today all around the world. Two coins were also offered as an award at ACT Nursing and Midwifery Excellence Awards in recognition of outstanding efforts.
International Nurses Day is celebrated on 12th May every year. The 2017 theme is "Nurses: A Voice to Lead, Achieving the Sustainable Development Goals". The coin is the fourth triangular coin under the Official Anzac Centenary Coin Program and costs $90 each.
