Big Ben on Coins

APMEX will be releasing special coins for The Royal Mint celebrating the most famous British landmarks. The first .999 fine Silver coin features the 1859 Elizabeth Tower on which the Big Ben is mounted. The unusual low angle view of the tower on the coin makes it unique.The 1 oz Silver Big Ben coin has a mintage limit of 50,000 coins; measures 38.61 mm in diameter and has a face value of GBP2. The obverse features the portrait of Queen Elizabeth II, created by Jody Clark. Future coins released in this series would feature Tower Bridge, Buckingham Palace and Trafalgar Square.
