78th Anniversary Central States Numismatic Society Convention

The Central States Numismatic Society 78th Anniversary Convention took place from 26th to 29th April. 282 dealers, 13 clubs or societies and 889 registered individual booth holders took part in the event. Almost 2,996 visitors attended the event. Most visitors were happy with what they found.Heritage Auctions made $22.8 million for United States coin sessions, over $8.7 million for U.S. paper money and over $1 million for world notes. A Proof 66 Cameo 1866 Coronet double eagle with a gold CAC sticker was sold for $517,000. The amount was donated to construct GracePoint Church in Valparaiso, Ind. Georgia collector Mack Martin got the Ruhama and Leon Hendrickson Best in Show Award while a Pennsylvania collector Thomas J. Uram got the Jerry Lebo Peoples Choice Award.
