50 Years of Early American Coppers Club

Early American Coppers club has almost 1,200 members and it celebrated its 50th anniversary. The club, which focuses on large cents, half cents, Colonials and Hard Times tokens, conducts annual convention and publishes the famous quarterly journal Penny Wise.The 2017 EAC Convention was held in Philadelphia at the Center City DoubleTree Hotel, convention from 19th April. The first event was a seminar called “The Boyz of ‘94,” who focus on the copper coinage of 1794. It was followed by a seminar on grading and counterfeit detection. The event had several other educational seminars and was later open to dealers. EAC’s annual auction fetched more than $238,000. The event ended on Sunday with the club’s annual membership meeting and last-minute bourse purchases.
