Royal Mail honored Shakespeare!

Royal Mail had issued stamps on 5th April 2016 to honor Shakespeare. This set of 10 stamps also has a special postmark showing the dates of Shakespeare's life on letters as part of the commemoration.

Shakespeare, the well-known playwright, is said to have died on his birthday- 23rd April. These stamps were released to commemorate his 400th death anniversary. These 1st class stamps have lines from his most well-known plays like Hamlet, Julius Caesar, Romeo and Juliet, The Tempest, Macbeth as well as Much Ado About Nothing.

San Marino has also issued a 2 Euros coin in commemoration of his death anniversary.

Cultural institutions across Britain had planned an exciting array of productions, events to pay tribute to the Bard while the Queen displayed treasures relating to the royal family's admiration for Shakespeare at Windsor Castle.
