Rare Notes From Eric P. Newman Currency Collection to be Auctioned

On 3rd May, Heritage Auctions will be offering a Very Fine 20 1775 Massachusetts Bay Colony 5 Pounds 4 Shillings Bond from the Eric P. Newman Collection Internet Part 3 with an estimated value of $5,000-$10,000 USD. These Bond loans were used by Continental Army during American Revolution and were printed from a copper plate which was engraved by Paul Revere. The notes have sharp detailing which means that they belong to the initial lots that were released.The Newman Collection contains many rare notes including uncut items. A Choice 58PPQ Perforated Block of Eight First Issue Fr.1229 5-Cent Notes with No-monogram will also be offered for the first time by the auction house with an estimated value of $3,000-$6,000. An Extremely Fine 45 Confederate Sheet of 10 T20 $20 Notes has an estimated value of $2,500-$5,000.
Several other rare and interesting banknotes will also be offered during the event.
