Flying Eagle on Both Sides!

A unique Proof 62 two-headed undated 1858 cent with an eagle in flight on both sides belonging Steve Brewer’s collection was sold for $50,525 at Kagin’s Orlando ANA auction on 9th and 10th March.Collectors consider the side with no legend as the obverse. The coin was also showcased at the American Numismatic Society in 1914. Brewer advised collectors to check out for unusual things that make a coin unique. Fineness, rarity and “gradeflation” are other factors that collectors need to be aware of while collecting coins.
