Rare Beautiful Stamps of Small African Country Lesotho

The small country of Lesotho is surrounded by the Republic of South Africa. It was the British Crown Colony of Basutoland until 1966 after which it got independence. The current ruler of the country is King Letsie III.Lesotho issues many large, colourful topical stamps mostly for collectors. Many series of beautiful Bird stamps were issued in the 1980s. Most of them were sold to dealers and collectors. Very few overprinted and surcharged stamps are available for postal use. Collectors are advised to look out for these rare stamps.
