Singapore Welcomes New Year with Zodiac Monkey Stamps

Singapore Post issued a new Zodiac Monkey stamps to welcome the New Year 2016.According to Chinese calendar, the year 2016 is also called as Lunar year of the Monkey, the ninth animal sign in the Chinese zodiac cycle.
Chinese philosophy believes that the monkeys are energetic, determined and expressive. So, those who are born in the year of Monkey are said to be curious, clever and mischievous.
The stamp set comprises of three stamps, each with a colourful illustration of the Monkeys with the denominations of 1st Local, 70¢, $1.30.
