Buyers Beware Forgeries Galore!
2017-03-31 Fri
Batches of modern fakes of Indian coins forged in China are flooding the online Numismatics markets. These forgeries contain some of the rare and scarce coins from all the periods of Indian history!Though presently they are being sold as ‘Replicas’ and ‘Copies’ of the original coins, how long do you think will these fakes take to be sold as genuine coins to innocent new collectors? How long will it take for these coins to stain our coin collecting hobby?
It is not just the Indian coins that are forged, but few of the Colonial Ceylon coins and USA’s dollars are also being forged.
Buyers Beware! Do not be fooled into buying these and if you do come across such “Replicas” please make it your duty to warn other unsuspecting victims from buying or selling such modern fakes. And spread the news to warm our fellow collectors!
A few images of these fakes are printed in the latest issue of “Gullak” a monthly newspaper by Rajgor’s.
Happy Collecting Fellas...but beware!
