American Eagle Silver Bullion Coins from San Francisco, Philadelphia and West Point Mints
2017-04-01 Sat
Almost 17 million American Eagle silver bullion coins were struck between 2014 and 2017 at the Philadelphia and San Francisco Mints, increasing the West Point Mint to 108 million coins during that time period. The West Point Mint issues bullion coins majorly, but the other two facilities were used for American Eagle silver bullion coins based on demand. A pattern in the serial numbers on 500-coin boxes of tubed coins indicated that multiple Mint facilities produced the coins. Collectors are trying to differentiate between these coins which are issued by three different mints.
