2017-04-01 Sat

A separate bill is being considered for a congressional gold medal to celebrate the Boxing Legend, Muhammad Ali. 100,000 gold coins and 350,000 silver dollars will be released separately. A $35 surcharge would be applied to every gold coin and a $10 surcharge for each silver dollar.

80 percent of the surcharge collected would be donated to the Muhammad Ali Center in Louisville; 10 percent of it would be donated to the Muhammad Ali Institute for Peace and Justice at the University of Louisville and the remaining 10 percent to the Muhammad Ali Parkinson Center (MAPC) and Movement Disorder Clinic.

if the Gold medal bill is passed then the new medals featuring suitable emblems, devices, and inscriptions will be given to his wife, Lonnie Ali. Bronze duplicates of the medals might be available for the common masses.
