Famous 17th Century Japanese Woodblock Art on Fiji coins

Fiji issued special standard and colourized 1-ounce .999 fine silver bullion coins with the help of Scottsdale Silver featuring famous Japanese woodblock art “The Great Wave off Kanagawa”.The reverse of the 2017 coin depicts the artwork of ukiyo-e artist Katsushika Hokusai, The Great Wave off Kanagawa along with the weight and purity. The obverse features the Fiji crest along with the inscription 1 DOLLAR. 17th to 19th centuries saw an art movement by ukiyo-e woodblock.
The standard coins have a mintage limit of 50,000 pieces, and the coloured coins have a mintage limit of 2,500 pieces. The coins come in a protective plastic capsule and were priced at $63 on 22nd March.
