Flowers on Latest Stamps of Cyprus

The country of Cyprus issued a new stamp featuring four wildflowers on 16th February.

The 0.34 stamp features a rare crocus which blooms in January-February in the pine forests on the island’s Troodos and Pentadaktylos mountains. The 1 denomination stamp features Cyprus tulip which blooms from March to April, the very rare Akamas centaurea which blooms from April to November is featured on the 0.64 stamp and the carlina which blooms from June to October, is depicted on the 0.41 stamp.

Designed by Melani Efstathiadou, the stamps are printed by Veridos Matsoukis by offset in panes of eight.
