“Rapunzel: Something brought you here, Flynn Rider. Call it what you will... fate... destiny...
Flynn Rider: A horse.” – Tangled.

‘Flower gleam and glow. Let your powers shine. Make the clock reverse. Bring back what once was mine. Heal what has been hurt. Change the fates' design. Save what has been lost. Bring back what once was mine, what once was mine...’ imagine being able to revive people from death by wrapping your hair around them while singing this! Seems amazing, doesn’t it? Well we can’t do this but there is someone who can; you guessed it right- it’s Rapunzel!

Mostly all of us know her story though the story changes with every country. The story is said to have been written by the Grimm Brothers- Jacob and Wilhelm in 1812 as a part of a book called Children’s and Household Tales. However, there are many shreds of evidence that many authors have written this story long before 1812.

The most famous of these was Rapunzel by Friedrich Schultz (1790) and the Grimm Brothers themselves have accepted having read his book and on finding a scope for change, re-writing it. Whatever and however the story may be the story teaches all of us various values of trust, truth, bravery, etc while also making us fall in love with the relationship of Rapunzel and Flynn Rider or Eugene.

The Deutsche Post (Democratic Republic of Germany) had issued this 25 East German Pfennig commemorative stamp of Rapunzel and Eugene on 21st November 1978.
