Elk and Lynx on Canadian Coins

An elk is featured on the latest coin release under Royal Canadian Mint’s Call of the Wild 1-ounce .99999 fine gold $200 coin program. The coin comes in a unique protected capsule on a card. Apart from that, the lynx is featured on the latest limited mintage silver bullion series. The news was revealed officially on 9th March.The Canadian lynx is featured on the silver coin against a background of radial lines and it has a mintage limit of 500,000 pieces. The gold coin features an elk with lines in the background indicating the sound waves of his unique bugle. The mintage limit of the gold coin would depend on the demand. Both coins come with a micro-engraved maple leaf Mint security mark and feature the common portrait of Queen Elizabeth II on the obverse.
