New 10,000 Som Banknotes to Be Issued by Uzbekistan

Uzbekistan will issue new 10,000 som banknotes printed on a protected paper size, on 10th March. A white box on the obverse contains a watermark that depicts the coat of arms of the Republic of Uzbekistan along with the number "10000". The note also comes with a windowed security thread featuring a 3D-effect. Other elements include the text O’ZBEKISTON RESPUBLIKASI MARKAZIY BANK and ornamental designs representing the Republic of Uzbekistan. A seven-digit serial number includes two letters as well.

The word "so'm" also appears in a large font along with the denomination in words O'N MING». Another text reads «O'ZBEKISTON SO'MI RESPUBLIKA HUDUDIDA HAMMA TO'LOVLAR UCHUN O'Z QIYMATI BO'YICHA QABUL QILINISHI SHART. Tactile features that change its colour upon tilting are included for the visually-impaired. A golden-bronze octahedron is also incorporated along with the year of release "2017".

The reverse features a white watermark, rosettes in blue and purple colours, the digits "10000", the Uzbek Senate building, "so'm" intersect with the words O'N MING, the texts O'ZBEKISTON SO'MINI QALBAKILASHTIRISH QONUNGA MUVOFIQ TA'QIB QILINADI and O'N MING SO'M.
