The fourth coloured Proof $2 1-ounce .999 fine silver coin from Niue belonging to the Great Migrations series features the humpback whale.Struck by New Zealand Mint, the reverse of the coin features a pod of the beautiful migratory humpback whales that swim over long distances searching for food, partners or homes. Some whales on the coin are engraved and others are coloured.
The coin comes in an interesting box with a printed scene of the migration and a numbered certificate of authenticity. The obverse features the common portrait of Queen Elizabeth II. The mintage limit of the coin is 3,000 pieces and each one costs $80 U.S.
