Bonnie Francesca Wright was born on February 17, 1991, to jewelers Gary Wright and Sheila Teague. She gained worldwide fame after playing Ginny Weasley, the youngest Weasley, and Harry Potter’s future wife in the Harry Potter film series (2001-2011). She auditioned for the role of Ginny after her brother, Lewis, told her she reminded him of Ginny.

She then also appeared in films like Stranded (2002), A Life in Pictures (2004), etc. In 2010 she was cast as Mia for Geography of the Heart (2014)- a feature length film about the complexities of love. Currently, besides being an English actor, she is also a fashion model, screenwriter, director, and producer.

She later appeared in After the Dark (2013) with Harry Potter co-star Freddie Stroma who played Cormac McLaggen and directed a short film Separate We Come, Separate We Go (2013) star another Potter co-star David Thewlis who played Professor Lupin.

United States Postal Service released this commemorative stamp of Ginny Weasely in 2013 under the series Harry Potter Forever stamps.
